Our journey started with a bang in February 2021 when we held our first Candid speed dating event and got over 400 signups in just four hours! After seeing how much people loved it, we knew we had to dive in deeper and create something even better.

So, we rolled up our sleeves and started building our very own speed dating software. Sure, it wasn't easy—there were plenty of challenges along the way—but by the end of January 2024, we proudly launched our video-based speed dating platform.

Taylor's passion for building community and frustration with the endless swiping and messaging on traditional dating apps fueled our mission. She wanted to create a space where people could actually meet and connect meaningfully.

Mariana, on the other hand, loves helping people and enjoys building innovative tech solutions for the Catholic Church. Together, we’ve crafted Candid Dating, a place where you can find genuine connections through speed dating and have fun doing it!
